Up-and-coming Baltimore rapper, Nick Breed, has died from a fatal shooting at age 24. According to the Baltimore Sun, he was taken on Sunday evening to the University of Maryland Shock Trauma Center and pronounced dead soon thereafter.
“He just wanted to bring it back to the city and help the city. He wanted kids to know that you can still be something," his sister said.
That view was echoed by other people who knew the rapper.
“He tried so hard to tell the truth,” Grant's girlfriend said to the Baltimore Sun. “He was not an average Baltimore rapper. He didn’t pick up a pen and paper to try to make money. He rapped because he had a gift.”
Our thoughts and prayers go out to his family and friends. May he rest in peace.
