Justin Bieber, Drake and Kanye West will reportedly be skipping the 2017 Grammy Awards.
All three artists are nominated for awards but have reports of being scheduled elsewhere at the time or speculation of their whereabouts.
According to TMZ, Justin Bieber, who's nominated for four Grammys, plans to be somewhere other than the Grammys because he doesn't think the Grammys are relevant or representative, especially when it comes to young singers.
Drake has eight nominations but will be touring in Europe at the time with no plans to attend the annual ceremony.
The trend began when Frank Ocean didn't even enter his album, 'Blonde', for consideration at the Grammys.
Kanye West announced back in October at his show in Oakland, California, that he wouldn't attend the Grammys if Ocean's album wasn't nominated. "I'll tell you this right now: If his album’s not nominated in no categories, I’m not showin' up to the Grammys," he said.
Kanye has eight nominations and has received 21 Grammys in the past but has always lost when he was up against a white singer so who knows if he'll make an appearance.
TMZ report that there's no real anger behind these artists deciding not to attend, it's just that a lot of young musicians think the Grammys are "out of touch and arguably irrelevant".
