Lil Uzi Vert turned up the heat at Eaton's Hill Hotel on Friday night for the Brisbane leg of his Australian tour. The result: his fans did not leave disappointed.
Locals, hypebeasts and major Lil Uzi fans started the night right with a high energy DJ set from Melbourne's own DJ Horizon. Horizon threw down some huge tracks and crowd favourites which really set the tone for the night ahead. The mosh pit took it to the next level going crazy long before Uzi even took the stage.
After a short break between sets, the night stepped up a notch when Lil Uzi Vert's DJ, DJPForReal, hit the stage. The room exploded with hype and the atmosphere was next level as the crowd was vibing off his huge display of energy. This was the perfect set up for the young rock star that is Lil Uzi Vert to take centre stage.
After chants of "Uzi, Uzi, Uzi" grew from the crowd, he exploded, opening up with 'Sauce It Up', a track from his recent 'Luv Is Rage 2' project. He then followed this up with '444+222'. Any Lil Uzi Vert fan would say it was the perfect way to start off a huge set at his first ever Australian Tour. The crowd was in a frenzy. From the mosh pit to the balcony, the energy was huge and Uzi made his presence felt from the very start.
Uzi took the stage wearing a yellow jersey from the famous football team Borussia Dortmund paired with a yellow Naruto headband to match.
After running through his catalogue including 'Do What I Want', 'You Was Right' and even some older collabs like 'WDYW' with DJ Carnage, the room was pumping. Lil Uzi finished up with his hit 'XO Tour Llif3' as the crowd roared with excitement. Despite a surprisingly abrupt ending to his set, Lil Uzi definitely didn't let the crowd down, making it a night to remember.
Lil Uzi Vert has always been a unique and self proclaimed rockstar, on Friday night he showed Brisbane why he lives up to and exceeds those expectations.
