BROCKHAMPTON 'Iridescence' Album Review

BROCKHAMPTON 'Iridescence' Album Review

Our favourite boyband BROCKHAMPTON has just released their fourth album 'Iridescence', and now we've had a couple days to process it, we're going to lay our review on you.

The 15-track album is, as Rolling Stone puts it, an "electrical examination of Brockhampton's past and present." The band has put aside all their bravado and are laying themselves bare for us to see how their newfound success has affected them. The album was recorded over 10 days in London's Abbey Road Studios and focuses on the responsibility and meaning behind being a star and what it means to be truthful to Brockhampton themselves and their fans.

'WEIGHT' is perhaps the most poignant song on the album; a more subtle look at what has befallen the group recently and how their newfound success has affected them personally. Brockhampton has so many genuine followers because they are relatable, and it's songs like 'WEIGHT' that remind us of why we fell in love with them in the first place.

Overall, the album can be a bit chaotic at times but its genuine nature and honest bars make up for it. Brockhampton have done it again.

Overall rating: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
