Kobe Bryant 5-time NBA champion nicknamed "The Black Mamba", has announced he is releasing his first book, detailing all things basketball and his experiences within the sport. Byrant has written the novel in his retirement in a bid to educate the future generation of players and fans.
Word is the book will feature an intro by Phil Jackson and foreword by Pau Gasol. The book will be primarily about Bryant's approach towards the 'process and craft of basketball', as well as featuring over 20 years of photos from Andrew D. Berstein, hall-of-fame NBA photographer.
The book is also set to include never-before-heard methods of pre-game preparation and his "Mamba Mentality".
"For the first time, and in his own words, Bryant reveals his famously detailed approach and the steps he took to prepare mentally and physically to not just succeed at the game, but to excel. Readers will learn how Bryant studied an opponent, how he channeled his passion for the game, how he played through injuries. They’ll also get fascinating granular detail as he breaks down specific plays and match-ups from throughout his career."
'The Mamba Mentality: How I Play' will be available on October 23, 2018 retailing for $35 USD.
